These Terms govern your use of IGCGrades.com (the “Site”), the IGC certification registry, and any IGC grading information displayed here. “IGC” refers to Integrity Grading Company, the grading brand operated by its owner. Please read the IGC Disclosure and Privacy Policy as well.

1. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful personal and commercial research. Do not attempt to disrupt its operation, probe its security, scrape it in a way that impairs service, submit false certification information, or use its content to misrepresent a card, grade, or slab. We may limit access to protect the Site and registry. The Site does not currently accept public grading submissions or process purchases directly. If you buy a card through eBay, Facebook, or another platform, that platform’s applicable rules and the specific listing and transaction terms also govern the sale. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Grades and authentication

An IGC grade is IGC’s opinion of a card’s physical condition at the time of evaluation under IGC’s criteria. Grading involves judgment; other evaluators may disagree. Certification is not an independent appraisal, an investment recommendation, a guarantee of current or future market value, or a promise of a particular price, marketplace acceptance, or grade from another company. Unless expressly stated for a specific card, IGC’s review is not a forensic authentication of every possible alteration, restoration, signature, provenance claim, or counterfeit technique. IGC does not guarantee that every defect or alteration can be detected. Specific written representations in a listing or agreement still apply to that transaction.

3. Affiliated-seller relationship

Cards bearing IGC certification may be owned, evaluated, encapsulated, marketed, and sold by the same person or affiliated seller, including Clubhouse Cardboard. IGC certification should not be understood as an independent third-party appraisal of market value. Please consider this relationship when evaluating any card offered for sale.

4. Registry and number lookup

Published registry entries are informational records associated with printed certification numbers. Search results may be incomplete, delayed, corrected, or unavailable. A matching number, an image, a QR code, or a link alone does not prove that a physical slab is genuine or untampered, that its card matches the published record, or that the person offering it owns it. Compare the card and holder carefully and contact the seller with questions before buying. An absent result does not, by itself, establish that a card is counterfeit; some records may not yet be published.

IGC may investigate discrepancies and correct, annotate, unpublish, or retire a record when warranted by error, tampering, loss, replacement, suspected fraud, or new information. A retired or corrected record must not be used to represent an earlier state as current. Do not reuse a certification number or reproduce a label to suggest that a different card has IGC certification.

5. QR codes

QR lookup is planned for newly encapsulated cards. Artwork displayed as a future label concept on this Site is illustrative and its QR image is not a live card verification. If QR-enabled labels are introduced, scanning will only take you to information associated with a number; it will not replace inspection of the physical card and holder. Be cautious of substituted codes and links that do not lead to IGCGrades.com.

6. Site information and third-party services

We aim to keep information accurate but may correct mistakes and update the Site without notice. Images, descriptions, and grading explanations are provided for reference. Third-party marketplaces, hosting providers, and linked websites control their own services and policies. IGC does not claim affiliation with or endorsement by PSA, Beckett, SGC, CGC, eBay, Facebook, or another grading company or marketplace unless expressly stated.

7. Intellectual property and misuse

IGC’s original brand name, logos, label design, site text, and original photographs are protected by applicable rights. Underlying cards, player names, team marks, and third-party art remain the property of their respective rights holders. You may link to public registry results for accurate reference. You may not copy an IGC label, alter a certification image, make a counterfeit slab, use IGC marks to imply an unauthorized endorsement, or present altered records as authentic.

8. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, IGC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost resale opportunities, arising from use of the Site or registry. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IGC’s total liability for a Site or registry claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to IGC for the transaction at issue or (b) $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or willful misconduct. A transaction-specific written agreement or mandatory marketplace rule may provide different rights.

9. Governing law and venue

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to IGC certification, the IGC Registry, or use of this Site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any judicial proceeding shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Oklahoma, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. This provision does not override rights or protections that applicable law does not permit parties to waive.

10. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms. The effective date above identifies this version. Continued use after a change is posted is subject to the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. For a question about a specific transaction, contact the seller through the platform on which the transaction occurred. For other IGC inquiries, use the contact information published in the applicable IGC listing or correspondence.

This policy explains how information may be handled when you use IGCGrades.com. It covers this Site and the IGC registry; a marketplace where you buy or message a seller has its own privacy policy. The Site is operated for Integrity Grading Company (IGC).

Information collected

When you search a certification number, the number appears in the website address and may be recorded in routine server, hosting, or security logs with your IP address, device/browser information, referral information, and time of access. WordPress and its hosting environment may use cookies needed to operate, secure, and administer the Site. Administrators supply card details and photographs for published certification records. If you contact IGC or transact through a marketplace, we may receive the information you choose to share in that interaction. Please do not send sensitive personal information through a certification lookup.

How information is used

Information is used to display card records, operate and secure the Site, respond to inquiries, correct records, prevent fraud or counterfeiting, and comply with legal obligations. Public registry records may be viewed, linked, or indexed by search engines. A certification-number search is not a private message.

Service providers and links

Website hosting, WordPress, security services, and other providers needed to operate the Site may process technical information on our behalf. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser may communicate with Google when loading pages. Links to eBay, Facebook, or other third-party services are governed by those services’ own privacy practices. This version of the site does not include its own online checkout. If we add analytics, advertising, forms, or new integrations, this policy should be updated to describe them.

Storage, security, and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, but no website or transmission is completely secure. Registry entries may be maintained to document certifications, corrections, and potential misuse. Other information is kept for as long as reasonably needed for operation, recordkeeping, disputes, and legal requirements. Hosting logs and third-party data may follow their providers’ retention practices.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit a search or contact information. You may ask about correcting inaccurate personal information you provided or about a record that affects you. Access, correction, or deletion requests are handled subject to identity verification, applicable law, and legitimate recordkeeping needs. For a marketplace transaction, use that platform’s privacy controls as well. Contact IGC using the contact method in the relevant IGC listing or correspondence for a request. We will not ask you to publish sensitive information to prove your identity.

Children, updates, and contact

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through the Site. This policy may change if the Site’s practices change; the effective date above will be updated. For privacy questions, use the IGC contact method published in an IGC listing or prior correspondence.

Ownership and grading relationship. A card bearing an IGC certification may be owned, evaluated, encapsulated, and offered for sale by the same person or affiliated seller, including Clubhouse Cardboard. IGC certification is not an independent third-party appraisal of market value.

What the grade means

An IGC grade reflects IGC’s opinion of physical condition under its grading criteria at the time the card was reviewed. Grading is subjective. Another collector, dealer, marketplace, authenticator, or grading company may reach a different conclusion. An IGC 10 identifies IGC’s Gem Mint condition opinion; it is not a promise that another service will award a 10.

Value and authenticity limits

Certification does not guarantee the card’s current or future sale price, investment performance, resale liquidity, acceptance by any marketplace, or an equivalent grade elsewhere. IGC’s review is not a guarantee against all possible counterfeits, alterations, restorations, or slab tampering. Any express, card-specific statements in a listing remain relevant to that sale.

Looking up a certification

You can search the printed certification number in the IGC registry once a record is published. A search result helps you compare its listed card details and photographs with the slab you are examining. A matching number alone does not authenticate a physical slab. Records may be corrected, removed from public display, or marked retired when circumstances warrant. If no result appears, contact the seller before drawing a conclusion.

Original labels and future QR labels

Original IGC slabs may have no QR code; their printed number can still be searched if the record is published. QR codes are planned for newly graded cards. The black QR label displayed in the design concept on this Site is illustrative and does not verify a card. In any future QR-enabled holder, the code is only a route to a record, not proof of the holder’s authenticity.

Disclosure for eBay and Facebook listings

For an IGC-graded card offered by an affiliated seller, the following short notice may be included prominently in the listing description:

IGC certification may be provided by the same affiliated seller offering this card. The grade is IGC’s opinion of condition, not an independent appraisal or guarantee of market value, authenticity by another service, or the grade another company will assign. Search the printed certification number at IGCGrades.com when a record is published.
